From September 1993 through July 1995 I had the opportunity to live in Southern Chile serving as a missionary for the Church of JESUS Christ of Latter Day Saints. During my time in Chile I was privileged to live in eight southern towns and cities, including Curacautin, La Union, Rio Bueno, Lanco, Valdivia, Futrono, Rio Negro and Punta Arenas. I also had opportunities to travel extensively throughout the south (and Santiago) and to get to know many people, customs and traditions.
I've included five main sections in this site. They are Culture, Food, Places, History and Travel. Through these main sections and several additional pages I have attempted to provide the reader with my perspective and recollections from my time in Chile, as well as some additional facts, folklore, traditions and interesting stories. I've also included several images, including many taken by me and some that have been borrowed from other sources.
Enjoy your tour of my web site. I hope that when you're done you'll know more about the great country and the wonderful people that the Chileans are.

Author's Note: This web site was built as a class project when I was in college studying web design. It is one of the first full-blown websites that I ever built. The site itself was built and oprimized for an older version of Internet Explorer and may not display properly in newer versions of Internet Explorer. However, the site still contains good information and graphics. Enjoy!
